People expect there to be a few more, wouldn’t you agree? It’s the same thing.Ĭertain things just simply needs to be done before the release of the game as a whole. To say it “hardly seems worthwhile” is like saying it’s ok if the game only had 2 classes in it. It’s one of the things a lot of players expect from a Diablo game in this day and age. Leaderboards have been a core part of the Diablo franchise’s designs for a very long time. This is a rushed product released too early and their PR management is just focused on making it seem like “it was planned all along” to be like this.Ĭlutching pearls for a leaderboard not arriving until next year hardly seems worthwhile But when there’s a takeover bid in the mix, the people in charge wants to earn as much as possible before they jump ship. Normally, a corporate group like ABK can shoulder the loss for a longer period of time. The lack of talent resulting from that, and being forced to recruit new people who would need to get acquainted with the game’s design planning and programming itself over and over again (because it didn’t happen just once), is what resulted in this mess. Time will tell how long it’ll take their “700 developers team” to turn Diablo 4 into that.īut there were loads of issues with developers quitting/being fired, as well as lead devs, during the many years they worked on Diablo 4. Well, it took them almost a decade after its release to make people sing praises for Diablo 3. I do not believe this game will ever have even all the basic features it should. I think Blizzard is a dysfunctional company at this point in its life. ![]()
